Here is some more convicing evidence for those speculating on the word tranny. Is it worth ‘reclaiming’ by transsexuals? I think not. Just to add some more facts to the article I wrote recently.
Insecure: Megan Fox thinks she is a ‘tranny’
Uber-babe Megan Fox gave a typically candid but weirdly insecure outburst on the Golden Globes red carpet last weekend, saying she was a “tranny” and felt like vomiting as she posed for photographers.

So, how many transsexuals want to ‘reclaim’ the word tranny so that we can use it authentically. I don’t really see what the argument is. I mean if you read any of the articles that debate it’s use, it doesn’t hold water to the fact that it is used exclusively in a derogatory way by mainstream media.
Personally I would not like being referred to as a ‘tranny’. I am a transsexual and the word ‘tranny’ sounds to me like ‘crossdresser’. There is nothing wrong with crossdressers, some of my best friends are crossdressers, but I am not…
I agree. I have been gathering data and other evidence to support my argument. I am going to keep at it and try to show that we need to come to a better understanding of the meaning of trans terminology. It’s interesting to note that when the lgbt movement started in Iceland, it was basically a one person delegation who approached the media and discussed terminology. The media responded amiably and things were underway. Of course it will be a lot more complicated to orchestrate something like that in the North American media today, but I think it is possible, and should be done. This is like a root issue of how we are percieved by the general public. I believe the language that get’s tossed around in media which demeans transsexuals is directly related to violence against us. I don’t understand why it is not being properly addressed.

I’m looking forward to Jennifer’s Body. Megan had no real meaty scenes in How to lose friends and alienate people. And in Transformers she was pretty much mute.

reasons y i dont like megan fox(because iam beneath her) and i feel like transformers the movie has screwed up the legacy of transformers ;but hey that comes with alot of remakes anyway ….

tranny is a synonym to transsexual – as far as I know most trannies prefer to be called TGIRLS or SHEMALES or simply “BABE” as they are actually BABES (the only thing is that they have a penis)… I still don’t know why would one call Megan Fox that…
As far as you know, you are wrong. Call me “shemale”, “tgirl” or “babe”(this last one is more about me being a feminist than trans), and you might find yourself in the curious position of knowing how difficult it is to breathe with a knife embedded in your trachea.
